As always April the first has arrived and Google have given us another of their highly entertaining and original April fools jokes. This time it is a throwback to the past with 8 bit Google maps.
To use simply go to Google maps and click the quest button in the top right corner next to the usual map options. The 8 bit map allows you to do pretty much everything that you would do with the usual Google maps including street view!!
